Ecosceptor’s Two-fold Mission
1. To fill the computer software and hardware void in the motor vehicle fuel economy industry’s aftermarket products, which is currently hampering the industry’s prosperity:
- By becoming the pre-eminent supplier of electronics to the potentially billion dollar fuel economy industry.
- Akin to the position of Microsoft and Intel relative to the personal computer industry circa 1980.
2. To dominate the automotive performance products industry by providing environmentally friendly, feature-rich, easy to use, and affordable performance products.
The Market Place
There are 2 related yet distinct growing markets in the motor vehicle industry that Ecosceptor LLC has identified as its domain:
- Fuel economy
- Performance
These two markets utilize many of the same underlying technologies to boost both vehicle performance and fuel economy (improve combustion efficiency).
Ecosceptor has identified voids in these two markets left wide open by the competition.
Fuel Economy Market
Our stagnant economy affects fuel economy conscious consumers.
- Many people don’t like driving smaller cars or leaving their boats at the dock due to budgetary constraints. They would love to get Toyota Prius-like mileage in their sport utility vehicles.
- Truckers would love the extra power to climb hills faster and drop their loads quicker. An extra load could be worth hundreds of dollars, in addition to fuel cost savings.
- There are over 650 million cars in the world, 232 million of them in the U.S.A. and 235 million cars in Europe.
- There are almost 17 million boats in the U.S., and over 3 million trucks in the U.S.
- Aftermarket fuel economy retrofit products are designed to enhance mileage and performance, while lowering emissions. Unfortunately they run into problems with the car manufacturer’s complex computer controller, called the Engine Control Unit or ECU.
- The ECU is designed to keep the vehicle efficiency operating within certain parameters.
- It inhibits the aftermarket products from delivering the maximum efficiency gains they are scientifically capable of providing.
Ecosceptor’s expertise is in sophisticated electronic controllers which interface with the computers on the motor vehicles, so that the products offered by these vendors work up to their full potential.
Performance Market
The performance turbo market is hot and growing in Europe, Asia, and in the United States.

- The performance market supports 100’s of specialty magazines, many of which have been around for several decades.
- There are several motorsports venues and car shows that cater to the performance crowds.
- International markets, especially Europe and Asia, have even higher concentrations of performance turbo vehicles.
- In lean economic times, lower priced products typically do much better than the higher-priced, high-line counterparts
- In the performance venue, turbo-charging is a popular modification.
- There are numerous vehicles that come from the factory with turbo-chargers. Statistics show that turbo-chargers are becoming increasingly prevalent in new vehicle releases.
- Turbo-chargers allow OEMs to deliver reasonable power in an incredibly small package, while meeting emissions and CAFE standards. MORE INFO
- Turbo enthusiasts know that an inexpensive way to increase power is to “turn up the boost”, i.e. increase the boost threshold.
- Existing aftermarket boost controllers include manual, single-setting versions that are difficult to tune and only offer the driver one setting, ranging in price from $55 to $90.
- Electronic boost controllers currently available start in the $250 price range, and the feature-rich controllers are over $700.
